Nestle USA is recalling some packages of “fun size” Raisinets due to the possibility that they may contain peanuts that are not declared on the label. These candies pose a risk for children and adults who are allergic to peanuts. The company has reported three complaints related to the product.

The recall includes only those bags containing the 10 ounce “Fun Size” Raisinets with a production code of 02015748 and UPC number 2800010255. These were sold to Target, Shop Rite and Don Quixote stores in the United States. No other Nestle products have been affected. Consumers with nut allergies should throw out the product and call 1-800-478-5670 or email nestlecandy@casupport.com for a refund. The company says not to return the candy to the stores.

Colombina SA of Miami is also issuing a candy recall. Their 14-ounce and 28-ounce bags of Mega Pops-brand lollipops may contain traces of foreign particles. The company has received one unverified report of a minor injury associated with the candy. The FDA is conducting an investigation.

Affected Mega Pops are packaged in cellophane bags and contain watermelon, cherry, orange, and grape flavors. They can be identified by UPC Code numbers 0 14272 10873 9 or 0 14272 10862 3, and are in lots marked as Lot #1240695, Lot #1209708, or Lot #1209796. The lot number appears in a white square on the lower left hand side of the reverse of each bag. Consumers are asked to return these products to the retailer for a refund or store credit or contact the manufacturer at 1-888-317-3686.
