Bringing new meaning to “Eating Good in the Neighborhood,” Applebee's, the national restaurant chain, is giving free meals to all U.S. veterans and active duty service members today.

That’s right, no strings attached, it’s free! Applebee’s explicitly said on their website: “We’re thanking all veterans and active duty members with a free entree at Applebee’s on November 11.” To be eligible in this free meal promotion, all you have to do is to show a proof that you are a member of the military service. You can wear your uniform, bring the Veterans Organization Card such as American Legion and VFW, U.S. Uniform Services Identification Cards, and Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES).

And as always with free meal deals there are stipulations, just take note that none of the items on Applebee's "Under 550 Calories Menu" are on the freebie list.
Instead the free offerings include: 7 oz House Sirloin Steak, Chicken Tenders, Bacon Cheeseburger, Double Crunch shrimp, Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, Fiesta Lime Chicken and the Oriental Chicken Salad.

Beverages and gratuity are not included and that the free meal promotion is available during business hours only at participating Applebee’s. For all veterans and military service members, this is your chance to get full for free. Thanks to all the hard work and dedication you’ve committed in defending our country.
