Magical Elves Casting for New Bravo Cooking Competition

Hey, professional chefs: want to travel around the world and cook on TV? Bravo and Magical Elves are looking for you. The production team that brought you Top Chef and all of its many dessert- and master-themed spin-offs – is currently casting professional chefs for a new reality show culinary competition.

Bravo announced the upcoming show, tentatively titled “Around the World in 80 Plates,” on Tuesday at the Television Critics’ Association press tour in Beverly Hills. The new show is said to consist of up-and-coming chefs displaying their culinary chops with challenges at renowned restaurants around the world. “In each episode,” reads the Bravo press release, “contestants will travel to a different international city where they will learn the local customs, cultures and cuisines as they participate in a gauntlet of culinary challenges – all while being at the mercy of the demanding restaurant owners. Ultimately, they will face-off in a kitchen takeover where they will not just recreate, but reinvent the menus for these world-renowned restaurants.”

Of course, to get this show on the road Bravo first needs to find some professional chefs hungry for victory and the spotlight. Interested? Then get yourself to one of these two final casting calls, both happening next Thursday:
