London Cocktail Week 2012 Details Announced

Get ready, London cocktail aficionados. The gears to put London Cocktail Week 2012 into action are already turning, and major details are already being released. Most important of all is the date, so if you’re planning ahead then take note: this year’s event is set to commence on Monday, October 8, and run until Sunday, October 14. London Cocktail Week has also announced a partnership with Seven Dials, Covent Garden, and will be using the shopping center as its central hub for seminars, pop-up bars, parties, and classes throughout the weeklong event.

According to its press release, London Cocktail Week is hoping to attract both consumers and industry insiders with its varied events. Of particular note is the fact that bartenders, mixologists, and others drinks industry professionals can obtain special trade wristbands to gain access to not-yet-announced seminars, master classes and awards.

Meanwhile, Seven Dials appears both easily accessible and well tuned in to the foodservice world – the center features a mix of everyday fast food, boutiques and pubs, and upscale joints like the twice Michelin-starred L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon – making it a sensible venue to accommodate an equally varied mix of attendees. Festival Director Hannah Sharman-Cox added to the release:

“2012 will showcase London like never before, and as London Cocktail Week goes into its third year it promises to be bigger, better and wider-reaching. We’re thrilled by the level of support we’re seeing from the drinks trade, and our new partnership with Seven Dials, situated in the heart of the West End, will provide a great hub for cocktail lovers throughout London.”
