How great does Meatopia 2011 sound? Billed as the “Woodstock of Edible Animals,” food writer Joel Ozersky’s ode to meat is an all-day affair featuring live music, a national butcher contest, beer a-flowing and – most of all – a ton of meat for feasting cooked with care by over 45 renowned chefs from across the country. So far, tickets for Meatopia 2011 are still on sale – if you have the means to make it to Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5 in New York on July 23, we highly suggest you get on it.
Today, Eater released an exclusive look at the menu attendees can expect at Meatopia 2011, and it is sounding as impressive as anyone could expect. The 45+ chefs at the center of the soiree are far from no-name up and comers – attendees will be able to sample creations from titans of the industry. Eddie Huang of Baohaus will be whipping up a “Doomtopia” a Taiwanese-style pig foot, oxtail, and beef cheek “Doomtopia” Stew, while Ludo Lefebrve of pop-up sensation LudoBites will be serving “Korean marinated hangar steak with goat cheese Chantilly and cauliflower paper.”

Followers of Top Chef Masters Season 3 (as well as followers of the country’s leading chefs in general) will also surely recognize Naomi Pomeroy of Beast, who will be offering braised beef cheeks with a sour cherry glaze with a rustic herb salad on the side, and Top Chef Masters Season 3 winner Floyd Cardoz who is bringing roast baby goat (all the rage right now) with arugula and sweet onion salad to the Meatopia 2011 table.
