Cooking challenge fans and reality TV show fans alike are in for a treat. Food Network has just acquired a new cooking challenge show, Gino v Britain.
Cooking show fans will remember Chef Gino D’Acampo as a celebrity chef who rose to fame with cooking shows like Essential Ingredients, Saturday Cooks!, and BBC’s Ready Steady Cook. Fans of reality TV, on the other hand, will Gino D’Acampo from his 2009 win and ensuing controversy on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! as well as his turns on UK reality TV shows like Celebrity Juice and Celebrity Grimefighters. Any way you slice it, Chef D’Acampo has a strong audience.
Now, Gino v Britain will let the public face off against Chef Gino D’Acampo showdown-style. Along with host Claire Sweeney, Chef D’Acampo will tour Britain to go head-to-head with some of the country’s best amateur cooks to cook some of D’Acampo’s own signature dishes. The local community will have the final say in whose interpretation of D’Acampo’s cuisine reigns supreme.

Gino v Britain will air in 46 countries throughout EMEA, with the first episode premiering on May 23.
