Let us set the scene: you pick up your significant other in a limousine. You ride in style to your destination – Pizza Hut – where you enjoy a romantic meal of a $10 Dinner Box . You tenderly share a one-topping pan pizza, ten cinnamon sticks, and five breadsticks – that’s not enough breadsticks to split evenly, but you’re a true romantic and let your sweetie polish off the extra one. Just when it seems like the evening couldn’t get any more romantic, you present the object of your affection with a sparkling ruby engagement ring – a marriage proposal to match your marinara dipping sauce! Fireworks blossom, and there is both a photographer and a videographer on hand to capture your loved one’s tearful reaction.
Sound appealing? All of this could be yours for the low, low price of $10,010 thanks to Pizza Hut’s Tie the Knot with the $10 Dinner Box package. It’s ostensibly just a promotion for the brand’s $10 Dinner Box, but it’s clearly also so much more.

“If we’re able to fit pizza, breadsticks and dessert into one box for only $10, why stop there?” asked Kurt Kane, Pizza Hut CMO, in the promotion’s press release. “Our customers want the best of everything, from their food to memorable life experiences. So we decided to make one of those experiences – the marriage proposal – second-to-none and offer it at PizzaHut.com right alongside the new $10 Dinner Box.”
One consolation in the fine print: if you decide not to go through with it, you’re not out $10K forever. Pizza Hut states that if the package isn’t redeemed by March 31, it will refund the entire cost. So if you’ve already bought the package in impulse, it’s not too late to think long and hard about if a Pizza Hut proposal is the story you want to tell your future grandkids. Of course, if the answer is a resounding “YES!” then you’ll want to act fast: Pizza Hut is only offering ten of these packages, and you wouldn’t want to be left out in the cold.
